I did A-level Maths and got a D, I've never had a problem with Maths in any other subject (sciences) because it hasn't been advanced at all. I am nearly at the end of my first year of a Chemistry Degree and feel that even now the Maths which I have need to use hasn't been a problem. Part of me doesn't believe this will be true next year.
This book covers the areas of Maths which are not on most A-Level courses e.g. complex numbers, matricies. With these being left for Further Maths Courses and anyone interested so I bought it simply because I have never used these techniques before. That and I am god awe full at sequences and series and I felt this book would be a great addition to tie up any of those things when the exams roll round or I am required to use them in later years.
I haven't actually used it methodically for revision yet but from what I have seen it has been concise and to the point. If you are using this book you will probably be a Chemist or similar and that is what we need. If I wanted to know everything about Maths I'd do Maths but this is all I need for my course. Non of the over explained rubbish other books throw at you just the useful stuff.
